What is Mish Mash?

It’s a small agro-ecological family farm in Sint-Pieters-Leeuw. We are located close to Nerpeede, southwest of Brussels. We produce several varieties of organic vegetables (leaf, fruit, root) and aromatic herbs on one hectare; seven acres of which are greenhouses. Our vegetables are destined for consumers in Brussels: stores, restaurants, distributors...

Where does Mish Mash come from?

We are taking over the farm from Jean-Pierre and Paula. As organic farming pioneers, they have been cultivating these plots for thirty years, taking care of the land and its inhabitants. This farm is still their home and now that Jean-Pierre is leaving for a well-deserved retirement we will continue his work, keeping his philosophy and his expertise close to us.

Who is Mish Mash?

Aude draws, Sybille sculpts and for the past eight years we have been working on Jean-Pierre’s farm as seasonal workers: planting, harvesting, weeding, putting the world to rights and everyday discovering muscles that we didn’t know we had! We are fascinated by living things and feel we need to be outside and in contact with the earth. When Jean-Pierre retired, it was obvious that we would miss working in this place so we decided to make it our profession, guided closely by his wisdom.
